Lucy's "New" Dress

In the season four opener, "The Business Manager", Lucy finally gets to have her hair
dyed - DONE! - after two weeks. She also buys one snazzy dress, that looks way too nice
to just wear around the house. She would also wear this in "Ethel's Birthday" at dinner.

I have always wondered what color it was. I think emerald green would've looked super
classy, especially with Ball's hair. But it also looks like it could've been pink or even purple.

Obviously, the dress had to photograph well in black-and-white, so that took preference.

Side note: I also suspect that the dress Lucy wore often, in such episodes as "Lucy and Ethel
Wear the Same Dress", "Ricky Needs an Agent", etc. was purple and blue because
it filmed as chocolate brown/golden. Certainly the latter would've been more flattering colors.
Also, the bodice on the rose dress Lucy wears for her third wedding anniversary and in
"Fan Magazine Interview" was a hideous BLUE, according to PJ. I'd wager they wanted viewers
to visualize pink or red.
