No, you shouldn't be ashamed that you "never seen this"; you should only be ashamed that you're 32 and have the
grammar of an embryo.

Oooh, somebody's got Covid cabin fever. lol

But the OP really should watch some ILL. I don't think anyone should go through life and deny himself a chance to watch this classic show starring a comedy genius like Lucille Ball. My advice, start with season three. It has some of the very best episodes.

Oh, come on, PJ, you're just ticked because I beat you to it!!

Funny you should say that about ILL. Just this week I was thinking about my very best friend, whose grandchildren
(twins - boy and a girl) are watching limited TV (they have strict, but great parents). I wanted to say to Janice,
"Make sure you get some ILL into their young lives". They are six. But she's pretty sick of MY talking about the show (and, she,
too, adored it when she was younger. But she thinks it's a bit weird that I still watch it regularly on DVD).

You really should suggest that they watch ILL every chance you get! Tell Janice (that's my mom's name too) We always watched the Lucy reruns in the evening. It was her favorite show.

I'm sad when I realize how much classic TV, film, actors, etc are totally unknown to a younger generation. It is their cultural heritage and it's being lost.

Once when talking to a teen-ager about movies, I mentioned Brando. She never heard of him! "Who is he?" Yikes! Just someone who is considered one of the greatest English speaking actors of his day. i knew it would've been a waste of time to mention Olivier, Gielgud, Orson Welles, etc

At work a few weeks ago, a twentysomething staff and I were talking about books and movies. She loves those "Saw" films! To each his own, but I find torture porn nauseating. I told her I watched one for a few minutes on TV out of curiosity. I actually got dry heaves. It made me ill. She , on the other hand, never heard of "Gone with the Wind".

I am constantly amazed and dismayed at how younger folks know nothing of their cultural history. I mentioned an Al Pacino film and she asked me, "Oh wait. Wasn't he a gangster?"

It was almost funny. Turned out that she meant Al Capone!

I mentioned something about one of our clients who gets mad when he doesn't have his "alone time". The one guy had a day program that day, but the other didn't go in to work. He threw a fit like a toddler. I said to this same girl, "Well I can't make the other guys sit on the porch because he's doing his Greta Garbo impression and 'vants to be left alone'".

She missed my reference because she had NO idea who Garbo was.
