Very true, but you're preaching to the choir with me.

Every once in a blue moon it will hit me how OLD the series is, how dated it is in concept, and HOW MANY TIMES
I've seen it. Yet it still delivers due to the excellent STORY told in six short years (two apartments, a pregnancy,
baby, Hollywood, Europe, and Connecticut). Lucy, Ricky, Ethel and Fred aren't TV characters to me. They're
family. And even just one favorite after a bad day can lift my spirits. No other sitcom can quite do that for me,
and I have many favorite shows, even two new Netflix ones.

I was just about to say to the OP, "You'll get no argument from me!"

It is interesting that I watched this as "a kiddo" myself and I now appreciate it as a grown up. I've never outgrown this show. There is something in it that appeals to every age group.

Contrast ILL with some shows I watched as a kid like The Brady Bunch. That shows does nothing for me now. It's a show I outgrew when I was still watching it! lol I enjoyed a lot of different sitcoms when I was a child, but they haven't made the trip with me into adulthood. "Lucy" is timeless.

I didn't care for it when I was a child, and I find it unwatchable now. I'm glad you all enjoy it, though.
