The show’s been dead for 62 years. Who remembers episodes, let alone seasons? My goodness, if it comes to that, the very nature of network sitcom has changed. Spouses no longer lie to each other.

"Spouses no longer lie to each other." Uh-huh. Enjoying our nightly bong, are we?

But moving to a point: Like it or not, the show is far from "dead." CBS airs the show - in prime time - at least
twice a year. The last broadcast rated at number FOUR for the week. This despite decades of reruns and DVDS.

No other series can claim this kind of victory.

This show is very much "alive" for a lot of people. Over the years it has found new generations of viewers.

Remember gb that I told you I work with people needing intellectual or physical support? The house I am in has three guys. I work the overnight shift. ILL comes on the Hallmark channel at 5:00 A.M. The channel airs about five episodes. I always put Lucy on and when the guys wake up, they love to watch it. They love it. They just howl with laughter at Lucy's antics.

It's funny. Sometimes one of them will call out to me if I'm in the kitchen. "Come here. Look what Lucy's doing!"
They even laugh at some of those scenes that a few of us long time viewers have become jaded with, like the five foot long loaf of bread coming out of the oven.
They have no idea I've seen these episodes a hundred times. I've told them I have all the seasons on DVD. This show has some timeless comedy.
They ask me a lot of questions about the show and the actors.
I told them that Lucy and Desi were married in real life.

One of the guys asked me later, "So, Mr Ricardo was really married to Lucy?"
They really get into the show.

As for favorites and least favorites, seasons one and two have several least faves for me.

Season 1- fave- The Freezer
least- The Audition (can't stand that clown)

Season 2- fave- Lucy is Matchmaker
least- Inferiority Complex

Season 3- fave- Fan Magazine Interview, Lucy Gets New Furniture
least- can't pick any that I don't like

Season 4- fave- The Business Manager
least fave- Tennessee Bound

Season 5- fave- Lucy Meets the Queen
least fave- Lucy Goes to the Rodeo

Season 6- fave- Housewarming, Country Club Dance
least fave- Lucy Meets Bob Hope, Deep Sea Fishing
