Music rights not a valid reason for this show to go so unseen!

It just dawned on me – if THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW can be aired on PBS (a network that only makes money from donations from the public), then there is no reason why THE DINAH SHORE CHEVY SHOW cannot be aired as well. Because it didn't even have as many songs in it as THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW, so if that show can get by with being aired without music rights causing an issue, I don't see where this show can't.

Anyone else have any theories about why this show might be such an obscurity today?

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
