This show actually only lasted until 1961 not until 1963

The idea that the show lasted from 1956 to 1963 is incorrect. Because once Chevrolet stopped being the sponsor, it ceased to be the same show. It was, after all "The Dinah Shore Chevy Show" thus, without Chevy, it isn't the same show at all. Here's why:

Part of the show's unique charm is that it was a show for Chevrolet – it was fun to watch Dinah try to incorporate the Chevrolet song into her show at any turn, and the opening theme was so catchy and permeated the mood of the entire program. Also, hearing her tell America to see the USA in their Chevrolet by the end was part of what made the show such fun. And I daresay – it is part of what made the show what it was.

Therefore, when I recently watched a 1963 episode on YouTube, it was a total downer! Because not only was the iconic theme music not there, but she even closed the show differently. Sure, her signature kiss to the audience was still present, but the mood was low.

It may seem like a trifle, it may seem ridiculous to say, but without that little jingle in the background from Chevrolet, the mood just isn't the same, and it made me realize that the show itself wasn't the same. It was only a shell of its former self. Part of it, too, was that times were changing by 1963. Music was different, styles were different (even Dinah's hair was different!). And frankly, it's a difference I didn't like, so I don't mind at all not having those shows as part of the canon of this series.

So, to whoever might be reading this who has the privileges on IMDb, you need to correct the dates. You need to say that The Dinah Shore Chevy Show was only from 1956 to 1960 or 61. The remaining two years needs to have a page of its own, because it was a whole other show by that point--- different title, different sponsor, different period. The format of the show might of been the same, but it was still a different show.

I hope if any of you are reading this, somebody will correct the IMDb entry on the dates of this show and give the other show its own page. Because after watching that latter-day episode of the Dinah Shore Show on YouTube, I definitely don't want it to be considered part of this more cozy, more nostalgic program.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
