i remember reading something about susan shaw, who played jean kent's sister, regarding her ending up as a homeless alcoholic. I think she was in some of the 'huggetts' films.
this is a great film and jean kent does a fine job playing 5 roles.
She never recovered from the death of her husband, Bonar Colleano, in a car crash on Merseyside. She took to the bottle and eventually it killed her. She had a son with Colleano who was raised by her grandmother. She died Monday 27th November 1978 aged 49. She died penniless and her funeral was paid for by the Rank Organisation who had first signed her just after the end of the war.
