Two feuding brothers named 'McAdam' (Son of Adam)

Just a trivial observation:

James Stewart's character is named "Lin McAdam," and the birth name of his character's evil brother (Dutch Henry Brown) is presumably "Henry McAdam." The name McAdam means "Son of Adam," and I assume this is a reference to the biblical Adam and his two sons, Cain and Abel. In this case, Cain is Dutch Henry and Abel is Lin.

I dont know about you, but he is clearly yelling out "MATHEW!" to dutch the whole gunfight at the end

"MATHEW MCADAMS", mathew just changed the whole thing to dutch henry brown i guess, brown being very common like "smith"

Matthew McAdams = MM, 13 x 2, which is Masonic code. Also McAdams is presumably Scottish, which also leans toward Freemasonry (Scottish rite).

Brothers who hate each other and a son murdering his father were themes that Anthony Mann would return to time and time again. In fact, his two great epic films "El Cid" and "Fall Of The Roman Empire" revolve around these themes.
