Cadet's only dance scene in dress uniforms

It seems to me that the Cadet's only dance scene in dress uniforms looked like the routine that the Rockette's perform in their annual Christmas show. The only difference is they have added some high kicks and read on their faces. Can anyone confirm?

Also, there was great line used in the film that I thought I could remember, but maybe someone can confirm. I think Cagney called West Point a great green farm for hats. Does anyone know?

I think what he said (disparagingly) was "a great big farm for brass hats".

Yes, it was brass hats. The film cadets presented him with a brass helmet with six stars on it for all his hard work. Bix chokes and needs to dab his eyes with a hanky he takes from Eve. Cute scene. :D
