has the feel of a thug film from 1930s, 1940s

well done film by R. Stevenson.... pretty dark stuff for a guy who directed all those Disney flicks. REAL similar plot to Shadow of a Doubt(1943), where Cotten's character isn't the nice guy that he appears to be to his family & friends. gotta love spring byington as the sweet ol landlady. Did U notice will wright from "Andy Griffith Show" ? /ksf-2

Just saw it for the first time...I enjoyed it.

Thought that the casting was great.

Love the sharp dialogue. Very good movie, understated, lots of tension.

I thought I saw Eli Wallach at the casino, dealing cards or at the roulette table, but he's not in the credits. He didn't speak, so maybe that was him.

I always enjoy watching Joseph Cotten. I like that little visual joke at the site of the car crash. A hoarding that says "Next time go by air." Good noir.
