This movie has been restored (by his noir foundation) and will be available this year. I can't wait to see a better print than what was on YouTube.

Best News I've in heard in quite a while.
Rumor has it that Martin Scorsese owns a 35mm print.
About Time . .
Just came back from seeing the premiere of the new print! And, Eddie Muller introduced it! According to Muller, Scorsese had the only known 35mm print....until now (he gets a credit at the end of the restored print as his copy served as a blueprint for the restoration).
The print is EXCELLENT! Very well done restoration. Muller's best line in the intro was that it wasn't until half-way during the restoration that Paramount Pictures even realized THEY STILL OWNED THE PICTURE!!! Paramount did chip into the restoration (and, will, no doubt, now reap the benefits financially).
