I have just watched this movie for the first time and really enjoyed it. It had suspense and the actors and actresses were perfect for their role. I particularly enjoyed the unexpected ending where the real mother gave her child to the couple saying that it was better to not know who the real mother was. This must have been very hard for her to do and it was done with finesse.
I wonder if other people liked this movie?

I liked it alot (caught it yesterday on Youtube). My favourite character was Prince as played by Ted de Corsia. I will watch it again.

I also saw it today on YouTube. When I saw Robert Wise directed it, I knew it was going to be okay. It's like the fable about King Solomon. There were two women fighting over one baby. King Solomon said the only way to solve the dispute was to cut the baby in half. One woman stepped forward and said, it's okay, let the other mother have him. King Solomon knew then that the mother who was willing to sacrifice her chance of having him was the real mother and awarded him to her.
