Screwy living accommodations

The opening shots of the movie establish the story's location: New York City.

The last actual shot of the city shows Rockefeller Center, then the story begins as Uncle Max (S.Z. Sakall) approaches the door to the Smiths' apartment building.

The implication is that the Smiths live in a building shown that is part of Rockefeller Center. WRONG! There are no residential apartments there.
