George Kennedy?

Was that George Kennedy as the lout with the bullwhip? (He was also glimpsed briefly in the foreground in profile in the sequence in the general store.) He's not credited with being in this movie, and he would have been pretty young (25 years old). But it sure looked and sounded like a young Geo. Kennedy to me.

r d the bully with the bullwhip was played by the great character actor Jack Lambert who was in many movies and television series usually as a bad guy. I can see why one would confuse him with George but I don't think they are even related. I really think if Jack had been given the chance he could have done a good job as a hero also. He was talented.

Whatever Happened to...tried to interview Lambert years ago, and his reply was something along the line of "I don't give a **** if people know where I am or not. I know where I am, and that's what counts."

The commentary for Kiss Me Deadly notes his teaming up with another great Jack...Jack Elam. The commentary for How The West Was Won omits him as one of Eli Wallack's but does include Rudy Acosta and Harry Dean Stanton. Great combination when it comes to villainy.
