When I saw the fire hose scene and watched Dr. Jason (Henried)and Ms. Levering (McLeod) come to the girls' aid I couldn't understand why he went after the hose when all that needed to be done was to turn the water off as Levering did. If he was trying to divert the stream he didn't get control of the nozzle until after the water stopped. Also, after they both rushed to the girls I thought the matrons should've just turned the water back on and hosed them all.

In the script it says the hosing goes on later in the film, but this was obviously cut or not filmed. Sometimes, genius is unerring, but here it never was revealed in all its prettiness.
