TCM screened it tonight

This film has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it on television as a child. I'm sorry I missed the first hour but the film is just as beautiful as I remember. Both Dirk Bogarde and Jean Simmons were wonderful and the supporting cast was fabulous. My only complaint was that it's in black and white. While there are noire elements, it's one of the movies that would have been glorious in color.
