Jose Ferrer's Cameo Appearance
What is Jose Ferrer doing in this film, in an uncredited cameo appearance, the same year he won an Academy Award for 'Cyrano de Bergerac'?

shareBecause his cousin Mel Ferrer directed it.
Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.
'The Dying Flutchman'...???
I caught that too and I also thought that really odd; but I noticed at the beginning who the director was (I thought it was his DAD )
Isn't Jose's resemblance to his son Miguel frigg'n uncanny!!
ILOVEtrading films!I've got a HUGE..uh..collection!Please ask!

DNA will do that.
shareMel and Jose are Not related.
sharePerhaps, but they are dead.
Believe those who are seeking the truth; doubt those who find it.
Oh great...
Now I'm depressed...
I hope you're not depressed because you were taken in by that notorious troll, The_Dying_Fckup. Cheer up; he's been an irritation on these boards for years, and it's no reflection on you.
shareHeh... thanks kindly for the nice encouragement mate! I do appreciate it, but no, I think that guy is super funny and he doesn't bother me a bit. He's just having fun, not being NEARLY as nasty as many here...
No, no... I was 'saying' that I was depressed because the commenter above me made the rather funny reply to someone who said that they are not related. He said, 'But they are both dead...' To which I replied that I was now depressed...
So, thank you sincerely for the kind words, but I was just riffing on the fellow's comment above me...
Cheers!
I now have over 7000 films; many of them very rare and OOP. I LOVE to trade. PLEASE ASK!
Incidentally, Jose and Mel Ferrer were unrelated.

EliotTempleton says > Incidentally, Jose and Mel Ferrer were unrelated. That’s true; the two Ferrers were unrelated AND this was early in Jose Ferrer's career on film. Instead of calling it a cameo, his role would probably best be described as a non-speaking extra part. Maybe he even had a couple of lines, I don't remember, but it makes no difference.
They were unrelated.
