The 'Before' Phyllis Wasn't Ugly

She just had a large nose and wore unbecoming clothes. And her nose was not as big as Barbara Streisand's. The first dress she wears after her plastic surgery is stunning and her body language is like that of a fashion model. The 'before' Phyllis still had Ella Raines beautiful eyes and slim figure. In real life, the 'before' Phyllis would only have been alone out of choice.
Odd that Phyllis has designing talent which she doesn't use on herself.
With her talent, she'd have fixed her hair, worn a hat and dress in a way that called attention to her nose, instead of hiding it. Develop her own look and flaunt it.

yes the before Phyllis walked around with bad posture. The after-Phyllis actually walks taller.

The clothes and hats in this film are especially pretty. They are very simple and not overdone, yet very elegant. In one of my favorite outfits, she is just at a swimming pool in a simple white bathing suit. Then she ties a skirt over the swimsuit and the ensemble looks like a party dress.
