Yes, it does seem like that movie. I remember seeing The Girl Most Likely to when it first aired in the 1970's. Remember ABC used to have the movie of the week? It was an early feminist movie.

The Girl Most Likely To was written by Joan Rivers. Joan would have been about 17 when this movie came out. I would say that there's a good chance she saw it and used it as inspiration. Ironically, Joan's own experiences with plastic surgery became legendary.

I wondered that too. I only heard about this movie, but saw 'The Girl Most Likely To...' several times.
