I think it's the best group of character actors in a western film, second only to Major Dundee w/ Charlton Heston. These guys in this flic upstage Flynn and steal the show. Check it out and see for yourself. It's Slim Pickens first western too.

I just saw it, today, on TCM. And, the last time it was telecast, in this part of Connecticut, was more than thirty years ago!
It still held my interest, though, in terms of suspense, pathos, and--of course--action. Errol Flynn might not have been able to buckle his swash, anymore, by 1950. But, man, could he still sling a gun! :-)
Definitely five stars.
The character actors can put on a good performance but cannot upstage Flynn.
Its that man again!!
