Valerie Hobson - Life Imitates Art

I was intrigued to read that Valerie Hobson (Hester Grahame) was in real life married to sleazeball politician John Profumo, the one who got mixed up with call-girls like Mandy Rice-Davies and thereby threw national security down the drain (he being defense minister). I figure her home life must have been like this...

Prof_Lostiswitz I have only just seen your post(Sept 2013) I do not know where you come from but your personal comments about the family life of Valerie Hobson are so way off the mark.It is true that her husband was a disgraced British politician John Profumo, who resigned his Cabinet post for his involvement in sex scandal in 1963,However Profumo immediately set about redeeming himself aided by his faithful wife M/S Hobson by devoting the remainder of his life by working selflessly for a Charity in a poor area of London. He even started off cleaning out toilets and other menial jobs before becoming head of fund raising for the Toynbee House charity aided by his wife. They both stayed with this organisation for over 40 years, shunning publicity. So please do not make incorrect assumptions about people you do do not know
