The Ultimate Film Noir Collection - released May 2

Is anyone familiar with the DVD collection metioned in the subject line of my post? It's to be released on May 2 and includes the movie who's board I am posint on. I am just wondering if anyone has heard whether or not this collection includes quality versions of the films. It's at Amazon.com for $14.99 and includes 10 movies. That's a heck of a deal, but I'm worried about the old saying "You get what you pay for." If anyone has heard a review on this collection or knows that the movies are of a watchable quality. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah I know what DVD your talking about. I brought it just a few days ago. The sound adn quality are very good. All the movies are great. It's a good deal for ten movies. Hope this helps.

I know this is a delayed reply, but I own that set and most of the prints are of great quality. This movie in particular looks just outstanding. All of the movies have an annoying logo in the lower-right corner, but you tune that out pretty quickly.

I was disappointed with the print of "Detour" however, the look of the print itself was awesome and crisp (at first I was thrilled) but there are major cuts of dialog out of the film. That particular one had been chopped up pretty bad. The rest of the movies seem to be in pretty good shape.

ANyway, late reply but I hope this maybe helps someone else.

Don't be concerned about the value. The collection is well worth it! ;-)
