the ending that should have been - **Spoilers**

Sam finds Patsy on the subway and proposes marriage. They get off and share a kiss. -**This is where the real movie ends**

This is how I would end the film:

Show a quick clip of Patsy and Sam getting married and then fast forward a year or so to the hospital where Patsy is giving birth to their child. Old man Baxter is there with Sam in the waiting room and the nurse comes out and says, "It's a boy!"

The two rush into the delivery room and discover an adorable baby boy in the arms of Patsy. The nurse asks the name of the baby for the hospital's records and she responds, "Cyrus Baxter Morley".

Cut to a close up of Old man Baxter smiling with tears of joy in his eyes.

Cue the music, fade to black - THE END!

Does anyone else agree that they should have ended the film this way? The namesake meant so much to the old man, I thought this would have been a better ending rather than cutting it short like they did. The last 30 minutes or so of the film, I kept thinking that this was how they were going to end it, but I was wrong and sadly disappointed. Does anyone else feel like I do?

The ending just felt a bit empty and completely rushed. I'm glad you guys agree. :)
