A bad choise as a farewell tribute

On the day lizbeth died, i remembered I had an unwatched film of hers in my 'to see' pile.. and, as it was listed as a Noir in iCM's list.. I thought this would be a treat and a tribute.
Well, the acting is superb, and, I guess, so is the direction. Great to see could do the (rather overly) good girl against the bratty sister.
But the story line.. and what happens.. Oh no. no, no....
This is tear jerking soap at it's most melodramatic, silly, corny extreme.

Sorry folks, if you want a good Lizbeth noir.. this ain't it

I will still give it good marks for a well made film..

few visible scars

Movie girl - ME too! I cried like anything about the multiple tragedies. In the end her account was "Paid in Full". If you have not see The Company She Keeps or[b] I Walk Alone, The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Pitfall, etc. these are well worth- watching as well. I just cannot watch this one; Paid in Full again. It is just too heartbreaking.

I am a film noir enthusiast too and just love the background music to I
Walk Alone as well as the story. Another great film noir with Liz, is
The Stolen Face I recommend to everyone. Saw it on TV as a kid and it is
absolutely unforgettable!
