That's a line that Farley Granger's character says while they are deciding where to put the TV. The maid is insistent that the mother wants it in a certain place. The mother, being played by Jane Wyatt.
I just watched this again yesterday. Every time I hear that, I have to smile.
Four years later, she's demoted. Then it's Father who knows best.
