Roy Ward Baker

When I saw that he directed this excellent film I looked at some of his other films he directed that I have seen and I noticed how many that I thought were really good films. The October Man also with John Mills was excellent. Don't Bother To Knock with Marilyn Monroe I remember surprised me with how good it was plus he made the classic A Night To Remember. Then when he got older he moved to television and did The Avengers, The Saint, The Persuaders, Danger UXB, The Flame Trees Of Thika and when he was in his 70's Fairly Secret Army and Minder. He was directing for 45 years which must make him one of Britain's longest running if not best directors!
