Ms. Sullavan, as usual, pours on the syrup... Ow, my tooth!

Just an hour or so ago, I had to stop watching this in order to keep my dental appointment. Such irony, as watching Margaret Sullavan's performances often leave me w/a toothache due to the amount of 'syrup' she pours on in her roles.

Here's something else - the daughter in the film keeps reading passages from "Alice's Adventures Through the Looking Glass" out loud, and when I walked into the dentist's office, the song "White Rabbit" was playing on the radio. Stranger still - my aol name is "WhiteRabbbit." You do the math.

I wish a great day to all -- just thought I'd share.

Since she is supposed to be a middle American housewife , you would think she would have tried to lighten up with the mid-Atlantic accent. She sounds like a character on Downton Abbey.
