Hello! And, I love your avatar~the portrait of Harvey and friend!

Yes, I love that series and have it on videotape. Someday, I'll be able to buy it on DVD, too~if I make more sales at Webstore/eBay. I never tire of it. I have wonderful memories of meeting and speaking with Ron Perlman at the final Space Trek convention. He was the only non-Trek guest ever invited, and this was at the height of the series' popularity. I recall him being delighted that one of the con-goers was wearing a duplicate of his costume from "The Ice Pirates". "I didn't know anyone had seen that movie!" he proclaimed to us, and we assured him we knew everything that he had done, calling out favorite roles. He stayed very late Sunday, making sure that everyone had a personalized autograph. They didn't even want him to personalize, just push us through line, but he ignored them, talking to each of us and posing for pictures with a number of fans.

Now, as for the thread (to make sticklers happy)...
3) The janitor at the train station whistles "Comin' Thro' the Rye"!

Thanks MystMoonstruck for sharing this wonderful story about meeting actor Ron Pearlman .
It seemed like he was very caring of his fans too  .
IMPO - He was also excellent in the TV Movie Stephen King's Desperation from 2006   .

The Harvey Portrait is my all time favorite one but unfortunately the original portrait was never found
( wouldn't mind a print copy of it for my wall at home if it were possible )  . Other fans on the web have been trying to search for it for literally years as well but with no luck  .
It's quite a big mystery ( and just a wild guess here of course ) it could be in the studio storage somewhere or in a private collection of another rich fan ?
I guess we will never know  .

I was wondering what song that was the janitor was whistling in the men's room . It sounded familiar but just couldn't place it .
Thanks again for letting us know what it was here to the folks like me who just couldn't remember at that moment too  .

I recall a story Ron Perlman told us about the series. He had told his agent that he was tired of wearing prosthetics; he was to find Ron roles that didn't require it. Later, his agent contacted him about a script for a new series~but it required prosthetics. Immediately, he turned it down though his agent was insistent, telling him what a wonderful role it could be.

Later, when he opened the door, he found a package there: the script for the pilot of a new series~"Beauty and the Beast". He said that at first he resisted reading it but finally broke down. When he did, he was on the phone to his agent, hoping that the part hadn't gone to someone else. Fortunately for us, it hadn't! He also noted how little of his face was covered when they transformed him into Vincent. He does have a lion-like quality to those craggy features.

Eventually, he ended up in prosthetics for yet another wonderful screen persona: Hellboy! As they say, he was born to play that role! Considering his age, he's amazing in these very physical films. I can't imagine anyone else bringing this cigar-smoking red demon to life, especially with so much heart.
