flash of nudity

Did anyone notice the hula girl lamp in a scene at the Grass Skirt club? The bare-breasted cutie was in the center of the frame. Also, the topless girl on the tattooist's arm? How did this manage to get past the Production Code censors? (Not a complaint btw.)

I thought that lamp was quite cool - the way the skirt moved. I was wondering if it was real or just done for the film...

American Pickers would love to get their hands on that lamp, lol!

I was pretty surprised by the tattoo myself--full frontal nudity and in motion, too! That would seem to be a pretty clear violation of the code. But there was a lot of content that seemed pretty strong for a movie of that period, e.g. Jan Sterling's character being pregnant by her married lover and the grim forensic scenes, e.g. the skeleton and matching the face over the skull face.

You are talking about a lamp stand and some tattoo's for crying out loud, not actual nudity!!

Not much of a problem for the censors

My thoughts exactly, lookslikeH.
How can inanimate objects be nude or "bare breasted".

Imagine the "wood" the OP could get spying on an orgiastic pile of naked mannequins!

Those lamps would look great in a Tiki-Bar Mancave!

If we hit that bull's-eye then the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards...Checkmate.

That lamp reminded me of the "major award" delivered to Ralphie's house, both featuring "the soft glow of electric sex."
