Question about the plot; spoilers possible...

I have a question: When Kitty (Betty Grable) finds out she lost the baby and can't have children biologically, does she immediately tell her husband Jack (Dan Dailey)? Or, to put it another way, when does her husband find out she lost the baby? Does he know immediately, or is she hiding it from him? Sorry to ask this, but it was really confusing. Thanks!
