I just saw a bio on Alan Hale on hollywood.com which says he caught pneumonia & died while making this film. Since this was filmed in late 1948 & Hale died in 1950 I thought it was pretty shoddy research. His bio on wikipedia only says he died of a liver ailment. He was a drinking buddy of Flynn so that makes some sense. Does anyone know the details of his death?

Alan Hale was not in the film "MONTANA" with Errol Flynn.

Whoever wrote the bio you saw was misinformed. He was most certainly not in Montana. And don't accept anything you read on Wikipedia to be necessarily true and correct either.

He certainly wasn't in the cast list I saw.🐭
