at about 20-25 minutes into the picture, and in a single take as well, this is a perfect example of visual storytelling.

and the musical score itself isn't even needed to convey the goings-on; the ambient sounds we hear don't contribute a thing.

Indeed, wonderful writing doesn't have to involve dialogue, but even Robert Riskin's dialogue is beautifully natural. I'm surprised that he wasn't nominated for the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar.
