*SPOILERS* I think this doesn`t really help paralyzed feel better, I was expecting an ending that uplifted all the negativity that happened throughout the movie, the ending kind of says; it was better you didn`t get killed by the bullet, and lucky you have a wife... But what about the people in chairs without spouses.

The gambler seemed pretty content not being married and Angel was a happy guy who was unmarried too. I think the point is to find what makes you happy in life and go for it. Being with Ellie made Ken happy and he went for it. It wont be perfect but at least they're trying.
