So, I have been thinking of visiting Montreal Quebec

Do they have palm trees like in the movie? The weather doesn't seem to support palm trees, but I have only visited the US. Maybe they have special soil in Quebec.

It's apparent this was a low budget film. If you watch closly even the Ebbit's Field part when the dodger's clinched the 47 Pennant had palm trees in the outfield. I was kind of surprised Robinson did this movie as his talent and courage he showed deserved a better production. More than likely it was shot in Florida during spring training 1950. The Dodger's lost to the Phillies on the last day of the 1950 season giving the Phillies the National League pennant. I remember it well as I listened to the game on my uncles car radio in front of his house in Merchantville N.J.

I think I read that was actually going to be an educational film to show in schools, but the director and producer decided to make it longer. The film editor was the worst part about the movie. It would cut scene before the sentence would end. And his negro league teammates weren't much on acting either. They may have been actual players though (I hope).
