Does anyone else find this whole concept scary as *beep*??

This sounds like a scary/bizarre movie! It seems to have that, Jimmy Stewart warm and fuzzy artwork and cinema rememberance, but it actually sounds kinda scary!!

Rent it before the remake comes out and messes with yer head! it's actually a very sweet film about a family that comes to accept the eccentricity of their brother/uncle and appreciate him in a new light. it's also a film about mischief.

The play is a good example of what Science Fiction and Fantasy editors would now label "Magic Realism" in that it is set in a world we live in, with no new technologies or magic but something supernatural intrudes into our world. ANother Jimmy Stewart film with a similar feel to it is Bell, Book and Candle:

Rent them together for a great double feature!

It is a heart warming wonderful film. But yes it IS a scary premise. LOL!

I first saw it when I was a kid (and several time since). I loved it but the scene where they show the painting with Dowd and Harvey scared the crap out of me when I was little. I thought the rabbit look spooky.
