B+W or color?

I saw this film on it's first release (circa 1951) when I was the same age as most of the cast in it. I loved it! It was in black & white. The IMDB site says it was in Technicolor. Can anyone confirm this? Would love to see it again - especially in color.

Yes. it is in colour, and really glorious Technicolor at that. I love this film and the colour is one of the things I love.

Hope you get to see it in colour.

Thanks, Ledostef, for that info. I am now annoyed. It was released in cinemas here in Australia all those years ago only in black n white. I'll have to chase it down on DVD. I remember another MGM film from the same era, 'In the Good Old Summertime' was shown here only in b&w although we knew at least it was made in Technicolor. This must have been some cost-cutting exercise whereby someone decided some films only warranted b&w prints. Thanks for taking the trouble to let me know. cheers, Harold A.
