Miss Whitchurch and Miss Jezzard

An unbeatable comedy film if there ever was one!

The film has everything-very good photography (for 1950) good production values, script, pace, editing and superb comic timimg.

The scenes between Miss Whitchurch and the bumbling Miss Jezzard are very amusing, especially in one scene where Jezzard is trying to silently indicate it's time to move on-where a group of Parent's are outside the classroom!

Lookout for Miss Whitchurch's embarrasment where Miss Jezzard (Muriel Aked) takes a phone call in front of listening Parents. Extremely funny, a tragedy really that the pairing of Margaret Rutherford (a true genius) and Muriel Aked didn't appear again.

Miss Jezzard on the phone, using a "posh" phone voice, while Miss Whitchurch gets flustered ... lovely stuff.

Why the "for 150" remark is there. The best visual film ever, Children of Paradise, was made 5 years earlier. They were just as capable of taking pictures then as now. More so in many cases.

I don't post to pick up on other user's comment's; I just thought the photogtaphy was good-and stand by it-thankyou for your contribution anyhow..

I think the photography was good as well. I just don't get why you said "for 1950" like they weren't just as capable back then as they are now.
