this was based on a script Howard Hughes screenwriters stole from a British never produced pic, "Fugard's Freehold".

This is on BBC2 early this Saturday morning in the UK, (2nd May 2015). Not seen this so looking forward to it, hopefully will be a good or at least watchable print.

I've just watched some of this on BBC2. It didn't really get my attention. But I was just a little bit interested in America's treatment of immigrants at the time.

I thought it was pretty good. Victor Mature is always awesome, gotta dig his hat in this one. He looks proper Dick Tracy side on. Missed a good ending though, he coulda used the dough he accrued to stop the immigrant family being sent home.
