The House in Father of the Bride

Is the house used in the 1950 version of 'Father of the Bride' the same house used for 'Eight is Enough'? I'm talking about the exterior shots. Anyone know?

This is years after your post, but my impression is that the house in the movie is one of the MGM backlot facades, while the Eight Is Enough house was a real house. I have no proof of that, though.

It is NOT one of MGM's back lot facades. Neither is the home of her fiance.
Whether or not the house was used in "Eight is Enough", I wouldn't know, as I
only turned on THAT show when I was out of sleeping pills.

It was a beautiful colonial style house. I laughed when the snooty wedding planner was asking about their home and kind of looked down on it as a small. To me that is a BIG house.

I don't think it was the same one used in Eight Is Enough. The one in FOTB had the diamond grid side lights and arch around the door.
