at the halfwy point..a guess, So posible big spoiler

OK, bear with me.. I'm part way through Let me make a prediction..

So the kid hit the old priest.. but we know this is a redemption story .. big time.. So I'm guessing the priest wasn't killed. Just stunned, and later came to. (The police are not saying how he died are they? When we find out old priest was knifed or shot...)
So who did? Seems pretty obvious the creepy guy with the floozie downstairs did the Galaxy theater job.. did he kill the priest? Maybe.. but we've just been introduced a late, seemingly irrelevant character.. the drunk sailor. I'd put my money on him. Obviously the young priest will find this out. Is there a reward? If so that pays for Mum's funeral. The kid? He's doing something painfully wonderful now.. A priest himself?. No, thats taking things a bit far.. but something that redeems him to the Church.

I've got to stop now for work.. I will look silly later this evening if I'm well wrong.
