Duchess Of Idaho is now available on a DVD-R from Warners. The picture quality is acceptable but certainly not good. What is very good about this disc is that it includes two "cut" numbers, one sung by Lena Horne and other sung by Mel Torme.
This DVD-R is available from most of the usual on-line vendors like Amazon and Import Cds, some of whom ship overseas.

I've never seen this movie before & wasn't sure if I would like since I'm not a Van Johnson fan but I loved it!! Heck, I love any Esther Williams movie! I love the regal essence she has in just about all her characters she plays! I love it! She always make me laugh! She's the best!!
Just wish that Esther Williams & Rock Hudson would have filmed movies together!! They would have been magnificent on screen together!!! Such a sad missed opportunity.

That's a very interesting idea: Rock Hudson and Esther Williams in the kind of movies Rock made with Douglas Sirk. As I don't like Jane Wyman, I'd have enjoyed the two she did with Rock Hudson much more if Esther had played the Jane Wyman roles.

Ooh I would have loved to see Esther in those 2 films instead of Jane!!
I'd also have really loved to have seen them do comedies together, especially since Esther Williams could deliver in comedic roles. She always cracks me up when she has that regal personality in her characters.
