The Interstellar of it's time

So may 50's sci-fi's just made up whatever pulp trash they wanted (to some degree of charm) but it's great to see this level of technicality in a film and what makes it more amazing is that it was one of the first 50's sci-fi's.

I think this film is the Interstellar of it's time due to both attempting to be scientifically accurate and besides actually being a really good film it really should be more famous than it is.

By the way, I'm not trying to start a discussion on how good or bad you think Interstellar is, there's plenty of fighting going on on the Interstellar board, I'm just pointing out the production similarities.

This is a really brilliant observation.

You are very clever. And correct. Well done.

Maybe but Interstellar is much better.

The OP said, "of it's time." Interstellar was made 64 years after Destination Moon!

I found Interstellar to be a colossal bore whereas this is rather impressive and still holds up quite well, but I do see your point.

There is no argument: Interstellar is simply bad sci fi, not scientifically accurate!

Especially all the mumbo jumbo about love being this powerful universal force. Everybody knows love is baloney.
