Any thoughts?

I've seen other translations, but Hooker's is the one which sings. The others are nice, but not brilliant like Hooker's.

This one was ok, but it looks like what it is: a low-budget filming of the play.
The Depardieu version opened it up visually, filmed on location so it actually looked like 17th century Europe, instead of a studio set, and it was spoken in French, which adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the story.

I saw the Depardieu version recently and I'm going to watch Ferrer's version tonight. We'll see.
