Early scene made me laugh out loud!!

I've been watching TCM tonight that's showing a collection of Jane Greer Films & this is the first time I've scene this movie. Jane decides early in the film to 'go after' Lizabeth Scott's boyfriend. She sees him in the hospital she works in, walks in the room, and bends way over forward to show him 'her goods' I guess it was the camera angle but the whole screen is her butt with some of her hose showing. Right after that the boyfriend guy (Lizabeth Scott's)is in a tight spot between hospital bed & wall so Jane Greer kind of turns sideways to walk past him and rubs her breasts gently on his chest while passing. It was so cool to see that in an old movie & Greer was so obvious. Anyone else notice this scene? I thought it was both funny but kind of enjoyable that an old movie had something this 'suggestive' in it. The only thing that bothers me about this movie is Greer is so happy & thankful to leave prison on parole but within seconds she's the B&*%$ from He*&. Seriously, you'd think she might want to turn her life around with a second chance.

Yes, I noticed this too. I thought it rather stood out, considering how tame movies were in this period. I think it got by censors because it was supposedly featuring her legs.

Agreed.

That parole officer was quite the saint, wasn't she? Good thing for Greer's character. Another parole officer would have had her ass thrown back in jail for messing with the boyfriend. A very stupid thing for an ex-convict to do.

Too saintly, IMHO. I expected Lizabeth Scott to put up a fight for her boyfriend, but maybe she figured if he's dumb enough to fall for Mildred/Diane, she can have him.

The best thing about the movie was Greer's performance, because the story itself didn't make much sense.

And Lizabeth Scott is awful as a good girl. Rather see her in Jane's role.

Having read the 'speculation' on Scotts sexual preference, this movie was loaded with double entendre almost from the opening scene. Woman behind bars, Greer, drop dead gorgeous but having been locked away for so long .... Scott, looking hotter than hell, chauffeuring her home, showing Greer around her new apt., lingering longer than needed .... oh man ! HOT HOT HOT !!

Yeah, I know... 'immature' .... 'typical male (pig)' etc ... hey, I'm only human :-)

25 minutes to go and my mind will be out of the gutter.

How Delicious!

You took it right out of my mouth! I was thinking this as I watched it the other day! She was picked up I believe in 1958 for a morals charge. I 've always loved her. Although she seemed to play this. A little too laid back. She seemed having an undercurrent towards Greer. The fancy dinner and all. Until I saw your post. I thought I was reading into it. I watched "easy Living " with her in that one I wondered if the old guy who wants Liz if is son was supposed to be gay?
