How many of the children are still living?

It seems that the Gilbreth Network website is behind by a few years. At this time Ernestine is still living--are there any others?

Ernestine actually died a long time ago..

I know that a life without love is no life at all.

Wikipedia still shows her living, perhaps you have her confused with Mary (who died at the age of 5)
or Martha who died in 1968.

I just read Ernestine's obit in today's New York TImes on line.

THIS IS NO DREAM....THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING !!!!

Yes, I just read this too, on CNN.com. Wow, she lived to be 98 and outlived nine of her siblings.

Thank you for letting me know about Ernestine just dying Nov. 4. The obituary also let me know that at least as of today, Fred and Bob are still alive. 98 and finished her memoirs this summer--amazing!

Ernestine Gilbreth Carey passed away 11/4/2006 in Fresno, CA. She was 98. It was in our local paper.
