White devils in Africa? India? or California??

The script is so funnny, They were suppposed to be in Africa? or India? Actucally they were down on some Ranch in Calfornia. Tigers are from the Indian Continent ,unless I am mistaken. The natives are dressed in Native Indian costumes from the South West U.S. Of course they are white people who are dressed in costumes, who all live in or around L.A. The Leopard Goddess or Gorddesses are "Platinum Blondes". They went all the way to I believe Simi Valley to a ranch where they filmed this. I probably watched this on the big screen as a little kid. OH.. the head of the tribe is wearing an arabic headress who was sent to "white man school" to learn bad English. Did you see the scene of the Leopard Goddess with the water fall running up the cliff,this is so funny. Thats not a leapard attaching Johnny Weismuller,its a Tiger. The witchdoctor has too much dark makeup on. but,these movies were B movies made for an audience like 5-10 years old. Its soo much fun to watch this movie. I think they all made a one day trip down to this ranch to make the live shots togther and the rest are stock video of Tigers,panters, and The Leopard Godess falling out of a tree or walking around on the ranch with a little dog.

I'm watching it right now, and it is pretty laughable how white people were painted for every other ethnicity. I can't even believe johnny weissmiller (sp) even had a career as an actor.

I think the "production company went out to sell these properties to the Big Studiios they just supplied some monies for production. You have to remember this was not "Gone with the Wind" scripts,actors,filmed on the cheapee probably on a weekend down on the ranch.When we were 7-8 hours old. I believed they were in the Jungle.Where ever the Jungle. was I assumed it was Africa.Because we had watched Tarzan when he lived in the Jungle with Cheetah and Jane.Now here they are wearing clean pressed clothes and looking for Gold or treasure in a lake?? with scuba tanks. Buster Crabbe I remember as Flash Gordon later on TV ,which I liked alot. I think their career's tanked the end of the 1930's and this was easy monies to pay some bills. The platinum Blonde was not anybody in Hollywood.maybe a bit player.But it is what it is.somebody is making some monies off the rights to these old movies.There is no where else you can watch these movies other then TCM.

I assume U enjoyed all the stock footage of the monkies trashing everything. The Santa Anita Racetrack in So. Cal has a botanic garden where much of this was filmed. It was also where Mr Rourke and Herve Villechez did their thing. "Ramar of the Jungle", the Bomba movies and probably much of the rest of that cornball jungle junk. Carry on zombieguy, cuz there's so much more junk to watch!
