Buzz-Cut Still Done

I know somebody in a New York City prison recently who got into a fight. He was held-down and given a buzz-cut. I thought that practice ended long ago. Who knows? Maybe they still abuse prisoners even now. I read stories about sadistic guards but I thought it was just fiction until now.

Are you serious? Guards in prisons or jails are often more sadistic than the inmates. THEY are the ones that should be behind bars, often.

Certain jobs seem to attract certain personality types. I'm not saying all prison guards are the same but I think it takes a certain type of person to that job. That person probably likes having power and being able to control other people; especially some of the most brutal and dangerous kinds around.

Some guards also must enjoy associating with these criminal types. We spend so much time at work, that environment and the people with whom we associate can be a sort of extended home and family. Harper may have already been an embittered, mean person but that environment had a negative affect on her; just as the environment and people caused Marie Allen to do a one-eighty turn in personality, outlook, and temperament.
