What's your favorite part of 'Boobs in the Woods'?

Daffy Duck, as Pocohontas, wants to marry Porky and raise little poker chips.

I like the part when Daffy is impersonating a car engine in Porky's car. Then Porky beats up Daffy and makes some adjustments in his car. After that, Porky uses the choke lever to start Daffy up as a motor.

This is no great cartoon, but it has good gags, doesn't it?

Your absolutely right about having good gags in a not-so-great cartoon such as this. One of my favorite cartoons that features Daffy and Porky is "Porky Pig's Feat". My favorite part in this cartoon is when the hotel manager tries to break in Daffy and Porky's room, Daffy and Porky pulls the rug underneath the floor, and the hotel manager keeps saying "Oh Ouch Ouch Oh", etc. and falls down the spiral staircase until he reaches to the bottom and groans.
That's one of the most funniest moments that I've watched in a cartoon.

reply

Oh, yeah, I'd forgotten that part. That is good.

I have a off topic question for you. This cartoon has a final segment that features two mice coming out of their holes. The first mouse quietly replies, "Merry Christmas." And the other mouse loudly replies "Quiet!", and covers his mouth. Can you tell me the name of this cartoon?

reply

My first thought was Bedtime for Sniffles, but that's not right. Another hint?

I think I found the name of the cartoon. Its called "A Gander at Mother Goose".
I just click on the plot summary, and I struck luck to find it!

That's right. I should have known it was one of those Tex Avery/blackout-gag pictures.

"Hey there sonny, I'm the old man of the mountains...and I don't want them painted!"

The song Daffy sings at the beginning is pretty cool too. I seem to recall that during the 1970s & 80 (when I saw this cartoon probably almost fifty times), that they used to often edit out that opening scene. Not always, but frequently. Probably just to save time.

A license to sell hair tonic to bald eagles in Omaha, Nebraska is also classic. I also love how when Daffy finds out Porky is single, he's like "Not married, eh?," all suspicious, as if maybe he thinks Porky is a homosexual...and then suggests they "go steady." Bugs Bunny always had to dress like a girl before he pulled stuff like that, but Daffy just jumps in and goes for it.

Last 4 films I saw on the big screen:

Kaboom 8
Tron: Legacy 5
True Grit 9
Winter's Bone 9

You gotta love "Please pass the ketchup, I think it's gonna rain."
