Phyllis Coates

Phyllis Coates was the original Lois Lane, and very attractive much like the comic book heroine. When production of the Superman program shut down for a while she took another job and was replaced when production resumed by Noel Neill, a far less attractive version of Lois, who did a fairly good job with the part, but lacked Phyllis' fire and charm.
