Berlin Honor Guard

Plane #37 (Montgomery Clift's plane) is honored at a ceremony for the 100,000th flight into Berlin.

The film features a US Army Drill Team that is referred to as the "Honor Guard". Did anyone notice that all of the soldiers appeared to be African American?

I was curious about this unit. I found this information about this Honor Guard unit:

7800th Infantry Platoon
The Platoon is an honor guard composed of selected men from colored units throughout the European Command, and give exhibitions as a drill team in addition to duties as an honor guard for distinguished visitors to the city.

At that time it's designation was the 7777th Honor Guard. After 1949 is was re-designated as the 557th Infantry Platoon (Honor Guard). And, yes it was made up of all African American soldiers.
